This painting was inspired by a walk I took by Pratt Pond the other week ago. Taken at sunset with the golden sun reflecting off the geese, I felt this would be picturesque to paint. I love the warmth from the sun shown on the top of the treeline and reflected into the water giving the painting a strong contrast from the dark vegetation. A painting like this feels romanticized and elegant; it feels simple and serene. I hope you find your own beauty in it!
